July Scentsy Update

Jul 06

Yesterday Hot Joe and I received the scent of the month, Lemons & Berries, described as, “As refreshing as a frosty-sweet glass of lemonade on a hot day; Juicy strawberries and red currants cut with a blast of zesty citrus.”  When we warmed it ourselves, I turned to Hot Joe and said, “It smells like a glass of strawberry lemonade!”  You can really trust Scentsy’s description of their products.  If you order the warmer or scent of the month, you get a 10% discount, so that’s a double-win in my book.

What I’m more excited to share, though, is for July only they are having a Bring Back my Bar promotion.  I have two (of many) favorite scents that have been discontinued, and for this month only I can (and will) order them.  The first is Orange Dreamsicle, which smells exactly like an orange creamsicle.  It’s sweet but not too sweet, with that little creamy scent underneath the scent of orange.  Delicious.  My favorite, though, and by far Hot Joe’s favorite, is Lemon Lavender.   So many words can describe this scent.  It’s clean, light, and actually has the ability to make a hot room feel cooler.  The lemon is so clean and fresh and the lavender is soothing and quieting.  It’s like being in a spa.  When you get in bed you expect someone to show up and give you a massage and you wonder why Enya isn’t playing in the background.  We are totally ordering a couple of these.

The other item I’m excited to share about is a new product by Scentsy, Layers.  Layers products are for the bath, body and laundry.  We have dryer disks in coconut lemon scent.  These are scented disks that go into the dryer with your laundry, much the same as a dryer sheet.  The difference is, the scent lasts longer.  We use ours only for our sheets and towels.  At the end of the load the whole laundry area and the laundry itself smells like coconut lemongrass.  You are supposed to get 15 uses out of each bar and there are 2 disks in each box, for only $7.  The thing is, we only wash the sheets and towels once a week (we have more than one set of towels).  I do not lie when I say our bedroom and bathroom smell like coconut lemon for an entire week before I do the next load.  It is amazing.  Each night when we get in bed the two of us sigh.  It’s soothing and clean and calming and simply delicious.

If you haven’t done so yet, please click on the ad on the right and check out the warmer of the month and the many, many other beautiful and clever warmers for men, women, girls and boys.  Peruse the scents, send me a message if you have a question about one since I’ve had so many, or even better, email Brenda through her site!  She is the Queen of Scentsy and knows all there is to know.  If you have questions and you just want to make a purchase (remember, the July warmer and Scentsy come at a 10% discount), then just order online.  I would love it if you would order from the G is Silent party.  It costs you nothing and gets me credit towards future purchases.

Feel free to stop by our home anytime and experience how wonderful it smells.  Otherwise, I’ll check back in next month, and in the meantime I will keep you updated on my sidebar with what we’re warming.

  1. When are they gonna invent a scratch n’ sniff computer? You make these scents sound wonderful – much better than my candles with a picture of Jesus on it.

The candles with Jesus are scentless. He didn’t like things with scents. He HATED insence. Or so I’ve heard, but it could all be a lie. I’m an atheist Jew.

  2. I love lemon lavender. You and HJ have good taste, even if you are an atheist Jew.

  3. Last night I turned on one of my scented candlewarmers to realize I hadn’t changed it since Christmas. It smelled very evergreen around here. Your post is very timely. Thanks!
