Monday Listicles
Jun 17
This week Stasha put a little spin on things. She gave us each $1,000 of pretend money (except me – she gave me cold hard cash), and asked for a list of 10 things we would spend it on. Personally, I’d like to just put it in the bank to replace the money spent on our new couch and chair, but since that’s not how the game is played I will come up a list of ten.
$1,000 and Ten Things to Spend it on
1. An adorable brand-new never-been-touched-or-trained puppy for my sister and her family that she can start from scratch with. She wants one so bad.
2.  A $250 spending spree at Sephora for pretty, shiny, glossy things.
3. A fancy purse. I’ve never had one before.
4. Converse in every color. For Noah too, only not the girly colors.
5. Six pairs of work shoes for Hot Joe so he always has a spare pair.
6. More socks. I love socks.
7. More sports bras – small so everything remains intact.
8. A new pair of running shoes. It’s been 6 months and they stink. What can I say?
9. A Sonicare tooth brush. Hot Joe won’t let me have one. He’s mean.
10. A paint job for the Maverick at a ridiculous discount because I will blog about it to the world and drive new customers to the establishment doing the painting.
Guess what, everyone? Stasha has let ME choose the Listicles for next week! I feel like I’m in charge of everyone! All of the linkers have to listen to me and do what I say. It feels so good. This weekend was Father’s Day and it was extra special for my family. THE BEST of my life. Because of that, I would like everyone to celebrate their father, step-father, brother, significant other or any important man in their life with 10 happy memories.

Good shoes, good purse, good teeth. Well spent! Ellen
I like to think I’m pretty practical.
Good list! Really good list.
Love next week’s topic.
Happy you had such a good day. Ours was very nice too.
Thank you! I’m very excited for next week.
Adorable new puppies are priceless! Great list. I’m going to start thinking about next week’s topic.
My sister wants nothing to do with a puppy or full-grown dog. NOTHING. That was just a jab. Heehee
1. I love your list idea!!
2. You deserve a sassy purse. The sales at katespade.com are awesome. You deserve it!
Oh GOD I just went to that site. WANT.
so the list thing hmmm i was trying to break my list habit but for this I will just make a one more time thing so as not to fall back into my ocd list habit lol
Thanks for taking one for the team.
A fun list. I am going through the same running shoe problem. Ick,
I want new running shoes too! They are so expensive and don’t last that long (well, when you use them regularly, LOL).
I use mine regularly, and they’re supposed to be replaced about every 6 months. There is a mileage but I don’t remember what it is.
I am so torn with the whole fancy purse thing. While I would LIKE to have one, I really dont want one. <—see! Torn!
Truthfully I’m SUCH a Target girl. But I’ve never HAD fancy purse!!! I kinda sorta want one.
EVERYONE deserves a good purse
. Go for it!!!!! You need something nice to carry around that $1,000 in.
Yeah, there’s this one little problem. His name is Hot Joe. He probably isn’t going to approve of spending that kind of money.
I like your list (Yes! All the sports bras!), and you’ve chosen a great topis for next week!
Oh sports bras. So many people see me running around my town and tell me I bounce. And looking forward to your list next week!!!
Awesome List! You can never have too many goodies from Sephora…and I love the ideas of converse in every color!
Oh how I love Sephora. And Converse.
Wow – everyone gravitated towards that sassy purse, huh? I have a few hand-me-downs…they look sassy but I stuff them with sanitary napkins when I go out. Ha! Sneakers are a good pick. Why do they cost so much?
I have to try this Listicles thing…thanks for the inspiration!
Converse are only like $40 at Target!! Nami – try my list link-up next week.
I love socks too! Too funny, I’ve never really admitted that to anyone! And I’d like to own a fancy purse too. I never have had a nice fancy one.
Of course you would want to bank the money, because you are practical. And, it came as no shock that your list was practical, too. Good stuff, Kim!
So the converse are for you – but oh yeah, Noah, too. I loved it!
I’ll have to par’take in the list making next week, since you got the staring role! I don’t know if I can muster 10 memories about my Dad – not that they don’t exist, just that I wouldn’t know what to list. But, I can share a great story/memory of my Dad. I’ll figure out how to make it into a list type of thing.
I’m not writing about Rob. He’s tall. He’s handsome. He gets enough attention as it is. Word.
Hahaha! You know HJ and I sat last night and made sure I had enough memories to use this topic.
Please do join next week.
AWWWWW! Puppies…and purses:) great list!
Hahaha! Thankyou!
Yay! I love this list and the topic for next week. I laughed when I read socks, because I love socks, too. I use the excuse of never being able to find their pairs to just go buy more instead of searching the house for the other sock. I have to admit the Sonicare toothbrush is definitely worth it. I love mine and my teeth and gums are much better with it.
Socks rule. Even in the heat of summer. Except in bed. I’m working on mean Joe for the Sonicare. My hygienist keeps recommends it.
Sephora is one of my favorite places!
I could spend hours in there looking at all the pretty things.
He is mean. Everyone should have a Sonic toothbrush!!!
I clicked out too soon. Thank you for picking an awesome topic!! Xo
Heehee. Thanks Stasha. So excited to be chosen! I think I’ll get Joe a Sonicare for Christmas. It comes in a 2-pack.
I have a Sonicare. Dad gave it to me last Christmas. It tickles my mouth!
JEALOUS!!!
That’s a lot of shoes! But, hey, one can never have too many to mactch every outfit, no? And a sonicare toothbrush? You ought to Google all the Pros as to why it’s MUCH better than a regular tootbrush, present it to Joe, and voila! I bet you’ll all have one by tommorrow! Seriously. Try it. What’s the worse that could happen? Say no? Again?
Oh, man! Sephora. I could spend all $1000 at Sephora. It’s like my crack. Once I go in there I must BUY ALL THE THINGS.
Great topic for next week!
Great list! I love the sound of the converse in every colour – any idea how many colours they actually make? And who can have too many socks, especially with the sock gnomes that roam freely?
I get to use the excuse of gum recession to have my Sonicare. I do love it and hope you can get one someday! I also like your idea of a purse. Since I’m out of having to carry a diaper bag anymore, I’m feeling ready to carry a purse like a big girl. But when I look that them, I don’t want to spend the money. :/
Very sensible list, with a couple of perks thrown in too. Tell Hot joe you need the Sonicare to keep that beautiful smile. How can he resist?
