Runstreak/Update

SUNDAY

Listening to:  RockMyRun playlist

I wasn’t even planning to streak today!  I’ve had a bit of stress in my life and I needed to try to work some of it out, so I took off on a reverse route.  I didn’t run as much as I usually do because my whole body is sore from lying on a raft in a pool forever yesterday.  Pools don’t have much support, have you noticed?  So worth the pain, though.  Being in and next to the pool was awesome with Lisa and Noah and Hot Joe.  Other than more walking than running it was still a good work-out today and Luke held in his waste, so there you go.

TUESDAY

I wasn’t even an entire minute into my streak today when I saw a neighbor I haven’t seen in a while.  When I said hi, he took that as an invitation for an entire conversation, headphones, phone on upper arm, dogs on leashes notwithstanding.  I stood there with him chatting it up for a couple of minutes before I was able to take off, and as soon as I turned the corner out of the neighborhood and started to run he pulled over to tell me one more thing.  I’m still going my reverse route and I’m not able to run it as much as I used to but I am running and walking.  I’m getting exercise and that’s what’s important.  Towards the end, I was running behind a senior citizen’s mobile home park, a distance from me of about the width of a residential street, and I swear to you I smelled old lady perfume.  I was so offended.  Old lady perfume needs to be taken off the shelves.  Seriously.

Today I swallowed a bug.  That is all.

THURSDAY

I wrote a post today, to publish tonight, and I got some stuff off my chest.  I feel so much better.  It made me feel lighter on my feet for my streak.  I started my next post to get the rest of my thoughts off my chest and I segued into Monday Listicles.  It was a good run.  I feel good.

Okay four days.  Deal with it.

  1. YOU ATE A BUG! Oh well – protein.

  2. Four days is better than three days. Then again, five days is better than four. Wait. Did I just say that?! (giggle, giggle)
What KIND of bug? Was it big? Was it flying? And which is better, swallowing a bug, or accidentally sniffing a bug up your nose?
I Nordic’d all week – even today… after I mowed the lawn. Oh, I am so having a pint of Ben & Jerry’s tonight.

  3. Love how you include your running playlist – music is SO important for momentum. “Eye Of The Tiger”! not. Anyway, hope you washed that bug down with some wine. Delish.
