Runstreak/Update – Week 30

Jul 28

SUNDAY

What a great day.  I worked, read, took a nap, worked again and then headed out with the pups.    Luke didn’t poop, Allie didn’t chase any animals and my time was great.  Happy days.

MONDAY

I actually ran way more than usual today, but I didn’t do the double hill.  I couldn’t.  My belly was a bit off.  I still did it though.  I still worked up a sweat.  I still plan to run tomorrow.

TUESDAY

I decided to take this day off.  I’m entitled to a day or two; I only ask of myself 5 days.  So today was one.

WEDNESDAY

I was dressed and ready to go by 11, with places to go and things to do before my streak.  Then Noah wouldn’t stop complaining of an earache.  When Hot Joe got home we ate dinner, took our showers and headed to the ER where Noah was found to have the very beginnings of an outer ear infection (swimmer’s ear).  That surprised me because he said the pain went down his neck but who I’m I to argue?

THURSDAY

Ahhh…I feel so much better now.  I finally got out there with the pups again.  I’m hot and sweaty and my left Achilles hurts and yay me!!!

FRIDAY

Today I listened to one of my favorite albums on my phone, which I just imported.  I love exercising to it.  It’s 47 minutes long and today I was determined to get home before the album ended.  I took off hard and was ahead of my normal pace the entire time.  Towards the end, knowing I had it, a car pulled over and asked for directions to Home Depot.  I had them pull over because traffic was building and it’s kind of not an easy explanation.  Go up to Hillcrest, take a left, stay in the center lane and follow it straight and around until you have no choice but to cross the street into a parking lot or turn left/right.  I like to make sure I give very specific directions.  I still beat my best time of 46:10.  I can only imagine the time I would have gotten had I not had to stop!!

SATURDAY

I took the single hill again.  It was just too much for me today, and for Luke as well.  He’s so good and he loves this so much, but he was pulling a bit on the leash so I wasn’t going to push him.  Me, maybe but not BOTH of us.  There’s always tomorrow.

And for the week’s totals:
